* OpenWrt summit / Battlemesh

* OpenWrt workshop weekend like in Hamburg in 2018?

  • Lynxis would organize and will create poll who is interested

* Discuss about private mailing list proposal (Ansuel)

  • The vote ended and was rejected
  • Maybe do it for security problems only and for the meeting invites
  • Freescout has about 6 spam mails per day, we should maybe improve that
    • Daniel and lynxis will improve the spam filter
  • Paul will create vote about security only private mailing list
    • Maybe do it in the forum?
      • you can answer over mail to the forum, but not create new topics
      • A group can be designated to be able to create topics within a specified category.

* Remembering Dave Täht

  • Discuss the possibility of dedicating the next stable release to his memory
  • It was suggested a more simple and less direct “25.xx Dave's Guitar Release” (I hear he loved guitar and played a lot)
    • Putting a reference either in Version number or MOTD sounds good to me (David)
    • Best is probably to create a patch, send it to the mailing list and see the discussion

* Infra committee (stintel)

  • OpenWrt infra is severely under-maintained
    • git-01: 14:35:07 up 514 days, 18:39, 2 users, load average: 1.16, 1.51, 2.10
    • util-01: 14:35:25 up 1294 days, 19:58, 1 user, load average: 0.00, 0.00, 0.00
    • wiki-03: 18:36:18 up 478 days, 3:33, 1 user, load average: 6.63, 6.50, 6.49
  • recurring issues with overloaded servers
  • random people applying band-aids when issues arise and they have time to look
    • Onboard others?
    • We had such a committee some years ago already
    • Paul will write a mail to create a new group

* new members: how can we avoid what happened to the XZ project with “Jia Tan”

  • We can probably not prevent it, but hopefully notice it
  • We have different attack vectors

* https://lists.openwrt.org/pipermail/openwrt-adm/2024-August/002620.html

  • Paul will write an email

* Freescout backlog

  • Lynxis goes through it

* New target arch A73 (Ansuel)

* Remove x86/generic, (Hauke)

  • We support x86 32 bit with 3 targets (legacy (pentium mmx), generic (pentium 4), geode (pentium mmx))
  • One less target and one less package build
  • There are some boards with VIA x86 CPUs supported by the legacy target
  • Hauke will send a mail to the mailing list to ask if anyone uses it

* 6.12 PRs - timeline? now, soon, later?
